Hi, I'm Vera.

I am a mother to two sons, one biological and one 'bonus' son. I live with my loving partner and my children in Townsville, where I have lived since around 2015. Originally, I am from Sweden.

Mother Birth was born along side my first biological child.

After an emotionally difficult pregnancy, a birth experience that led down a long list of interventions and a postpartum where I felt unsupported and scared, leaving me depleted and depressed, I went looking for answers.

One of those answers were that I was far from alone in the way I was feeling. This is how I found one of my greatest passions in life. 

I started supporting new mothers around me, which was the start of my business, towards the end of 2022, focusing on postpartum support and placenta services. Soon after I was approached to start attending births. I have let Mother Birth take shape naturally, forming to what the community around me needs and following the lead of other mothers. Because of this, Mother Birth is ever evolving. 

My work is very dear and close to my heart.

I also keep my family, music, camping and time in nature, friends and every-day rituals very close to my heart.
