What is a Doula?
I am a pregnancy, birth and postpartum doula, offering you continuous physical, emotional and spiritual support during this season of life.
As your doula I walk beside you and your family. While always focused on the birthing mother, I also offer support for the entire family.
What we may do during our sessions and how I support you during your birth will be special and customised to you and your circumstances.

But in essence, my offering as a doula is an embrace—a warm, encompassing embrace that holds space for your unique journey, honoring the beauty and strength within you as you traverse the path of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
Pregnancy & Birth Support
As you are growing new life in your womb, I support you with unwavering encouragement as you navigate each trimester. I aim to create a cocoon of comfort, ensuring you feel empowered and confident in your body's incredible ability to nurture life.

Once you are in labour, I'll stand by your side, offering continuous emotional support, a soothing touch, and a comforting presence. Whether it's a whispered word of encouragement or a calming massage, I'm there to create an atmosphere of serenity amidst the intensity of childbirth, no matter where you chose to give birth. While supporting you and your decisions in your birth plan, I might be suggesting position changes, providing counter pressure or acupressure or encouraging your partner or support person, while nourishing you physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Postpartum Support
A mumma who was nourished and held throughout her fourth trimester will emerge back into the world when she is ready, stronger and wiser than she was before birth.
Postpartum can be a magical time, so I love to bring in ritual, nourishment and warmth. Sessions are 3 hours long and are centered around mum and her wellbeing, nourishing her.
I bring home cooked ayurvedic organic meals, drinks and teas. I also have knowledge and training in Abhyanga (Indian massage) for baby.
Finding what feels nourishing for mumma, we can consider yoni steams, belly binding, help with baby settling techniques, help with light house chores, and most importantly a listening ear.
Mother Blessing
Have you heard of a Mother Blessing before? A ceremony that stems from a Blessing Way in Navajo tradition, honouring a womans transition into motherhood. Different to a baby shower, as a Mother Blessing focuses on the Mother. Creating a safe and supportive space for her, gathering in powerful feminine energy, while also taking the opportunity to plan the continuation of support in postpartum.
With great gratitude to the women featured and artists who took the photos featured on this page.
